陈楚蕙，何碧端，沈惠贞，沈妙珍与我


香港楚蕙潮剧团 (Hong Kong Chor Hwee Teochew Opera Troupe) and 中国诏安潮剧团 (Zhao Ann Teochew Opera Troupe) put up several spectacular performances in Johore Bahru from 14 to 23 Apr 2007. The performance was held at 8th Floor, Wisma Tiong-Hua.

I managed to find time to watch only 2 nights. We had to assemble at the bus stop opposite Kranji MRT at 5 pm. A special coach was arranged to bring us to JB. The traffic was congested on 21 Apr 2007 as it was a Saturday. I met many new friends and joined QiLin and others for a seafood dinner at a restaurant near Wisma Tiong-Hua.

The first show I watched was ''宋弘拒婚". Other than my favourite idol 陈楚蕙, I also had a new discovery. I was pretty impressed with 何碧端 from 中国招安潮剧团。 She played the role of 刘秀 very well. I managed to take a photo with her at the end of the show. There was no opportunity for me to take one with 陈楚蕙 because there were just too many fans.
I also watched their performance on the last day on 23 Apr 2007. They put up 一门三进士 of 'One Family Three Scholars' . I managed to take two photos with 何碧端, 沈妙珍 and 沈惠贞.

双翰林 - 陈楚蕙, 泰中潮剧团

Have you watched 双翰林 by 陈楚蕙 and 泰中潮剧团 before? I have a copy of the VHS and with the help of my opera friend, QiLin, the VHS was converted into DVD.

I have posted several segments of the show on Tudou website and these had generated a lot of hits. Guess many opera fans may not have watched it before. Other than 陈楚蕙, two other actors from Hong Kong 老生张应炎 and 名角姚佳雄 also acted in the show. The stars from 泰中潮剧团 are 小生陈嫦娥, 谢子云, 潘素月 and 花旦谢子兰.

双翰林(上集) 选段1

这是早期陈楚蕙与泰中潮剧团演出的一部戏,花旦是谢子兰,还有老生张应炎,名角姚佳雄。潮剧双翰林的卡带是由方巧玉演唱花旦。 这是从VHS录制过来,若有不清楚的画面,请见谅。

出场的便是著名小生王陈楚蕙（饰文杰）和泰中潮剧团小生潘素月（饰张达士）。其怪，看过另一部同样故事的忠义双骄，剧中的小生叫李俊杰和徐道鹏。

出场的有老生张应炎和名角姚佳雄。两人争论大太子或二太子应登基， 不欢而散。

出场有泰中潮剧团花旦谢子兰饰演杜娟(另一部同样故事的忠义双骄, 她叫宋玉湘)。

杜娟许配张达士，文杰被辱。 西宫夺玉玺，大太子逃难。剧中泰中潮剧团的小生陈嫦娥饰演大太子， 谢子云饰演二太子。注：谢子兰和谢子云是姐妹。

选段 7 – 10 ：二太子登基， 害忠臣， 杀张达士。后文杰借药假装毒死张达士，然后把张达士运走。文杰舅父知道他喜欢杜娟而逼杜娟嫁给他.
